A poem about friendship

Sometimes a look is enough,

two eyes through a crowd,

twinkling, maybe winking, a funny encounter.

Sometimes a sound is enough,

a deep, soft „hello“ to a smiling shy face,

taking a step into a new direction.

Sometimes a laugh is enough

to convince someone of wanting you in their life,

wanting you to be there, even after you part ways.

And maybe sometimes being strangers isn't enough,

and you feel the pull of friendship on the strings of your life.

And even if you won't see each other ever again,

after the look,

after the „hello“,

or the beautiful smile,

isn't being a friend for a moment enough?

Changing a life, little by little, with smiles and late-night-talks in a dirty room.

I think sometimes finding a piece of yourseöf in someone, a friend, is enough.

Or more than you could ever ask for.
